Little Dragons (Age 3)

Our main focus is to teach children the basics of respect. The Little dragons program will begin to develop the foundation of listening habits, and preliminary Tae Kwon Do techniques including bowing to the flag, and sitting properly before and during class.
Junior Dragons (Age 4)
5:45pm - 6:15pm
This class focuses on learning the basic techniques required of a white belt student including basic blocks, strikes, kicks, and poomsae. Your child will also begin learning dojang etiquette including the tenants of Tae Kwon Do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit).
Senior Dragons (Age 5)
6:15pm - 6:45pm
This program focuses on refining all of the basic techniques required of a white belt student including basic blocks, strikes, kicks, and poomsae. Classes will be formatted similar to that of a kids class, and your child will be learning dojang etiquette including memorization of the student creed, and class dismissal. The class leader may have the opportunity to stretch out their peers at the beginning of class. Once a student has grasped all of the basic techniques, they will then be invited to test for their yellow belt, and upon promotion will join the Sunset Youth Program.
Ages: 6 - 12 years old
Our Youth Program provides a fun, structured and disciplined atmosphere for your child to learn and grow. As a student in Taekwondo, your child will experience the martial arts and its ability to develop the mind, body and spirit. Your child will learn characteristics of young role models including respect, control, and confidence. These skills will carry through to their classroom, sports and friendships.
Children who study Tae Kwon Do tend to be:
- More physically fit then average
- More attentive at school
- More respectful of their fellow students, parents and teachers
- More confident in other areas of their lives
- More capable to handle a leadership position
This program aims to provide coordination, Balance, Listening skills, Confidence, Focus, Socialization, Exercise, Self-control, Respect
We hope to teach our students to bring Taekwondo into their lives, not just as a sport but as a way of life, that will help them to be confident, respectful and dependable individuals.

Do you Homeschool? We have class times available to fit your needs.
Homeschool Martial Arts students build social skills and make new friendships in this safe and fun learning environment along with meeting physical fitness requirements, and have the flexibility to meet other Homeschooled students in our noon classes, or to join our evening classes with other youth students.

Today, it is hard to stay fit and healthy. Adults find exercising to be something they really would like to do but never feel motivated enough to workout by themselves.
Here at Sunset Tae Kwon Do, you will find that filling your weekly exercise requirements will be fun and easy. Our Adult Program, offers adults of all ages, a way to stay in shape while providing an opportunity to meet new people and create long lasting friendships. Taekwondo is flexible and allows you to push yourself to your own personal limits.
